International Summer School in “Political Communication and Electoral Behaviour”
The School was inaugurated in 2007 and held in 2010, 2012, 2014 and in 2016.
It is regularly co-sponsored by the leading International associations such as the IPSA-Political Communication Research Committee, the ECREA-Political Communication Section, and the SISP (Italian Society of Political Science) and SISE (Italian Society of Electoral Studies).
The 2014 and the 2016 edition are co-organized with the Political Communication Division of the ICA (International Communication Association).
The School focuses on the main theoretical and research questions regarding the relation between political communication scholarship and political science/political sociology perspectives with a special focal point on the influence of communication factors on political and electoral behaviour.
The Faculty, beside some members of our Department, gathers renowned International scholars in the related fields. The School is open to 30 Doctoral students, and early career researchers, admitted on a competitive basis through an international call.The theme for the 2016 edition is “Changing Media Environments, Changing Democracies”.
