The Department of Social and Political Sciences of the Università degli Studi di Milano is the result of a merging of two pre-existing groups of professors and researchers, each long and demonstrably committed to a multidisciplinary approach of the study of contemporary politics, society, and social and economic organization. The Department is composed of 57 professors and 20 researchers, as well as post-doctoral researchers, special grant holders and PhD candidates. The Department regularly welcomes visiting scholars from different national and international universities and research institutions. For all its research and educational activities, the Department avails itself of the competences of its highly valued technical and administrative staff.
